App Test Guide

We are really grateful to you for being part of the test panel of the new version of the Beauty Today app.

Thank you for your willingness to help us further develop and refine Beauty Today!

This test comes with a few instructions that we hope you can follow. These are necessary to get the best possible picture of future user experiences.

Beauty Today is for ...

Beauty Today is meant for you, if you want to keep a simple diairy of your most beautiful moments. 

The app is meant to do ...

In Beauty Today you can set a timer signal for the end of the day. When the time signal goes off, it reminds you to take a moment to reflect on what went well that day. You then can open the app and go to the ‘Write screen’ of Beauty Today, where it will ask you:

What is the most beautiful thing you experienced today?

You can describe your special moment in four ways:

– A short title which describes your moment in a way so you will remember it later

– A longer description where you can tell the story of what actually happened in more detail

– Give your moment a score from 1 to 10

– Add an image that reminds you of the moment.

Before you start

To really find out how the app works, please take these steps first:

  1.  Set the alarm to the time at the end of the you want receive a signal that reminds you to take a few moments to reflect on your past day.

    Go to Settings > Reminder >

    Set the Frequency :
    – Daily (if you want to daily add your most beautiful moment.)
    – Custom (if you want to be reminded with a certain frequency during the week.)

  2. Optional : Set a password that protects your entries, so only you can access your content in Beauty Today.

Save your moments!

Writing an Entry
Tap the Write tab to create a new entry. Add a title, description, rate your day from 1-10, and optionally attach a photo.  NB: Each date allows for only one entry. 

When you still want to save a moment from a previous day, go to the Write and adjust the date.


Viewing Entries
Your entries appear on the Home screen as a timeline grouped by date. Tap any entry to see its full details.


Journey
The Journey tab shows all your entries with filtering options (by date, score, or photo) and sorting (newest, oldest, best, worst).


Editing & Deleting
Open any entry and use the Edit or Delete buttons at the bottom.

About the test

Duration

The duration of the test period is three weeks

 

Frequency of use

For the duration of the test period we would like to ask you to use Beauty Today at least three times a week, so you have created at least a minimum of 9 entries.

Privacy

All entries you will create during the test period are only yours and remain strictly personal. 

Beauty Today will not share your moments. 

All entries will be deleted after the test period, unless you you ask us not to. 

App Test review

We are very much looking forward to your feedback on this 1st version of Beauty Today.

As part of the test we will ask you twice for your comments:

  1. After one week we will ask you for your general comments on your first week use of Beauty Today

  2. After you completed the three week test period you will receive a short survey with more detailed questions about your experience with the use of Beauty Today.
